ESSEX Police are joining Maldon District Council to advise residents on how to remain safe this summer.

A free community safety information day is being held in Promenade Park, Maldon, on Thursday, July 27.

The event is open to all member of the community, and will provide advice and information on crime prevention, fire safety, personal safety, health and wellbeing, pet welfare and more.

As well as the police and council, there will be representatives from Essex Fire and Rescue, Neighbourhood Watch, the British Red Cross and Community Safety.

Councillor Bob Boyce MBE, chairman of community services, said: “Helping people feel safe from crime and lead healthy lifestyles are key objectives for the council.

“This even supports this and celebrates our partnership working with Essex Police as well as providing valuable and useful information to residents.

“I would encourage anyone concerned about crime, fire safety and even pet welfare to come along to Promenade Park.”
