HOMES on the Sunshine Coast are proving to be hot property, with house prices soaring in Clacton and Walton.
The resorts have both sailed into the top ten seaside property hotpsots.
Walton was only beaten into second place in the league table by Broadstairs, in Kent.
Property price website Zoopla ranked coastal towns by the average increase in property values.
The average house price in Walton rocketed by almost 9.5 per cent last year to £231,410.
Prices in Clacton were up almost six per cent to £218,125.
Aberdeenshire's Collieston and Cruden Bay came bottom of the league, with average property prices falling by 4.79 per cent over the past 12 months. Whitby followed closely behind with a 4.49 per cent drop.
Salcombe, in Devon, continues to be the priciest place for a sea view, with an average property price of £635,435.
