A TRIBUTE to the king and queen of country music comes to Clacton's West Cliff Theatre this Saturday.

Islands In The Stream celebrates the story of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.

Starring Andrea Pattison and Peter White, the show is packed with timeless smash hits, including Jolene, Ruby, 9 to 5, Lucille, Here You Come Again, The Gambler, I Will Always Love You, Coward of the County, Love is Like a Butterfly and Lady.

Andrea has sung professionally for years - mainly at weddings and functions.

But after people started to compare her sound and style to Dolly Parton she decided to go down the tribute route to reach a wider audience.

She formed a band - the Partoners - and recorded an album of Dolly’s best loved material.

Now Islands In The Stream is on a theatre tour of the country, along with a handful of solo shows by Andrea.

As well as celebrating the life and music of Dolly Parton, Andrea will be incorporating her own music into the show.

She realised a life-long ambition by releasing her first album of original songs - Stormy’s Daughter - in 2008. It was dedicated to dad Ernest 'Stormy' Pattison who died in three years earlier and is based closely on Andrea's experiences growing up in a large working class family in Sunderland.

Kenny Rogers look-alike Peter White also sounds exactly like the country giant and has enjoyed success from Orkney to the Isle of Wight, and Dubai to St Lucia, as well as appearing on Stars In Their Eyes, Doctors, Casualty and Dalziel and Pasco.

Islands In The Stream is at the West Cliff on Saturday at 8pm. Tickets are £22 from the box office on 01255 433344.
