THE Electric Palace is holding three nights of live event cinema this week.

The first event is being held tonight at 6.30pm when the Berliner Philharmoniker will perform Dvorák’s symphony From The New World.

Streamed live to the Electric Palace in King’s Quay Street, Harwich, the performance will be conducted under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel.

It is the final performance in the orchestras live cinema season - it will be broadcast in high definition with surround sound and include exclusive interviews and programme insights.

Tomorrow at 2.30pm the much-loved tale of Peter Pan will be screened.

Captured live at the National Theatre, the recorded performance of JM Barrie’s storymuch-loved tale will be brought to the Harwich screen.

When Peter Pan, leader of the Lost Boys, loses his shadow, headstrong Wendy helps him to reattach it.

In return, she is invited to Neverland, where Tinker Bell the fairy, Tiger Lily and the vengeful Captain Hook await.

The third live cinema event is an exhibition on screen on Tuesday at 7.30pm.

Michelangelo: Love and Death will take audiences on a cinematic journey of the Italian painter and sculptor’s life.

Spanning his 89 years, the screening follows the print and drawing rooms of Europe, through the great chapels and museums of Florence, Rome and the Vatican.

Through expert commentary and Michelangelo’s own words, this film takes a fresh look at an enigmatic man whose life is celebrated in every mark and every stroke he made.
