BASILDON rockers Depeche Mode have announced a huge UK and Ireland arena tour for the autumn.

It comes days after synth-pop legends played their “homecoming gig” in front of a sell-out crowd at Stratford’s London Stadium.

The band, currently in the midst of their Spirit world tour, has announced that they’ll be back in November – calling into Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

The Just Can’t Get Enough stars, fronted by Dave Gahan, played to a sea of raised hands in London on Saturday, winning high acclaim from the national music press.

NME magazine described the show as “immaculate” after the group effortlessly carved their way through classics old and new, and even performed a rendition of Heroes by David Bowie.

The additional tour dates already confirmed are: Dublin: 3Arena on Wednesday, November 15; Manchester: MEN Arena on Friday, November 17; Birmingham: Barclaycard Arena on Sunday, November 19; London: O2 Arena on Wednesday, November 22.
