ANNIVERSARY checks have uncovered a potential new sighting of missing Clacton dad Nigel Kedar.

Norfolk police carried out a fresh search of the A140 near Dickleburgh on Monday, where Mr Kedar walked along on April 4 - the day he was last seen.

CCTV of Mr Kedar, 52, captured him walking away from a Co-op supermarket in Long Stratton, Norfolk, having withdrawn £100 at about 6.30am.

The dad has been missing for five weeks having drove to Norwich for a night out.

Police are now also investigating a possible sighting of Mr Kedar in Thelverton on April 4, at about 9.55am, as a result of information gathered through anniversary checks.

A spokesperson for Norfolk Police said: "People may remember what they were doing at that time a month ago so anniversary checks are extremely useful and important.

"Looking ahead the family are in talks over meeting with a lead police search advisor to discuss the best way forward in terms of the search. They may also enlist the advice of a specialist search advisor."

Clacton and Frinton Gazette:

Dad-of-one - Nigel Kedar

Distraught siblings Diana Mays and Richard Kedar appealed for the public's help in a press conference, calling their brother's disappearance out of character.

A Find Nigel Kedar Facebook page has also been launched in the quest to find the much-loved dad, who has a teenage son.

The spokesperson added: "We received a number of calls from the press conference but unfortunately none of those uncovered any new information.

"We are aware Nigel visited Norwich police station twice on Monday, April 3. The first time he was concerned about the safety of one of his friends and the second time he asked to stay until he was ready to drive.

“We continue to urge members of the public to call us.”

Anyone with information should call Norfolk Police on 999.
