STAFF and patients spoke about their experiences to highlight Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
The hospital’s cervical, ovarian, perineal, endometrial cancer support group had a stand to distribute information to staff. Rachel Keenan, gynaecology clinical nurse specialist, said: “It’s very important we reach staff regarding their health needs as they need looking after.”
“We also wanted to raise awareness across teams and wards, asking staff to think out of the box when patients present themselves at A&E with symptoms.”
