Man from Brightlingsea charged with child abduction
A MAN has been charged after allegedly abducting a child.
31-year-old Ricky McGovern was arrested on Sunday in connection with alleged offences against a girl from Suffolk.
McGovern, of Waterside Marina, Brightlingsea, has been charged with seven offences by Suffolk Police.
They include allegations of child abduction and grooming.
He was also charged with an alleged breach of a sexual offences prevention order
He is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today.
