PINT-SIZED music fans will be entertained by one of the country’s leading professional chamber orchestras in Clacton on Monday.
City of London Sinfonia is performing two Lullaby Concerts at Tendring Education Centre on Jaywick Lane.
The performances are specially designed for children aged two to seven and their parents and carers.
A Day at the Fair features an exciting mix of audience participation, fun and fabulous orchestral music, woven together by charismatic presenter Claire Henry.
The orchestra will be joined by folk artists from the East Anglian Traditional Music Trust to create a magical mixture of musical styles.
And after each concert there will be a chance for children to try out a range of orchestral instruments.
Earlier this week, the sinfonia's musicians held music workshops at Clacton library, Jaywick community resource centre and Sir Martin Frobisher Academy nursery so youngsters could make music and meet some of the players.
The concerts are produced by Orchestras Live. Spokesman Stuart Bruce said “We are thrilled to be bringing the Lullaby Concerts back to Clacton.
"Over the last few years these interactive concerts have become very popular with young families in this region and our exciting new show is not to be missed.”
Shows are 10.30am and 2pm on October 24. Tickets are £5 (£2.50 children, £12 family of four) on 01255 686633 or on the door.
