A SPECTACULAR inflatable fun day fundraiser is set to go ahead to boost cancer-fighting funds.

The Mega Fun Day will take place at the second attempt in Little Clacton on Thursday.

It will include a massive array of inflatable obstacles, as well as rides and entertainment, with proceeds going to Cancer Research.

The event was originally planned for earlier in the year, but had to be called off at the last minute due to high winds which would have made the inflatable obstacles unsafe.

Now it is finally set to go ahead.

It will take place at the late riser boot sale site in White Lodge Meadow, London Road, Little Clacton, on Thursday from 11am-5pm.

As well as the inflatables there will be children’s fairground rides, zorb balls, clibing walls, pony rides, bungee jumping, paintball and facepainting, as well as food, drink and craft stalls.

There will also be an under-fives area for younger children.

Entry is free and wristbands giving unlimited use of the inflatables cost £5. The other attractions have separate charges.

A second-hand children’s toys and clothes market has also been organised for the following day at the same site.

It will run from 10am-2pm on Friday. Entry is free and stalls cost £6 to run.

Proceeds from the market will also go to Cancer Research, and a second inflatable fun day will be held to boost the fundraising further on August 11.

Organiser Michelle Allwright set up the annual fun days to make extra use of the Little Clacton site and do her bit for the good cause.

Last year’s fun day events raised more than £2,200 for Cancer Research.
