THE unique sound of The Beatles gets a new lease of life in a tribute to the Fab Four in Clacton tonight.

Exactly 50 years after Lennon and McCartney penned the haunting hit Yesterday, The Magic of the Beatles stage show relives some of the Mop Tops’ most memorable music.

From the band’s 1962 debut hit Love Me Do to the soaring psychedelia of Sgt Pepper, the show takes fans back to the golden days of one of the greatest bands the world has known.

Packed with more than 30 timeless Beatles chart-toppers, it authentically recreates the magic of John, Paul, George and Ringo’s live shows that sparked the famous Beatlemania hysteria back in the 60s.

The Magic of the Beatles is at the West Cliff Theatre, in Tower Road, Clacton, on July 1 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £21 from the box office on 01255 433344.
