A LIFEBOAT crew were called to inspect a driting object off the coast at Clacton.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution launched an Atlantic 85 lifeboat from its Clacton-on-sea station at 10.38am on June 18.
An object was drifting in the water approximately four miles south east of the station at Gunfleet Sands Wind Farm.
The volunteer crew passed their information over to the Dover Coastguard to investigate further - they were able to confirm where the object had come from and dismissed the lifeboat.
The crew returned safely to shore and returned to the station by 11.45am.
