A MAN was airlifted to hospital after collapsing in St Osyth.
Paramedics received an emergency call-out after a man believed to be aged in his 70s went into cardiac arrest in Rochford Road.
Two ambulance crews, and ambulance officer and the East Anglian air ambulance were all sent out to the scene to help at about 3.45pm last Thursday.
Crews worked to treat the man and managed to resuscitate him.
He was lifted to the air ambulance, which had landed in a nearby field behind Rochford Road.
The man was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
