A DEVELOPER’S hopes of building four new homes on derelict overgrown land in Tendring village have been dashed.
Granville Developments put forward the application for Glebe Farm but it has been turned down by planners.
The site was previously used for agricultural purposes and a number of old barns are still in place in a poor state of repair.
The proposal involves demolishing the existing buildings and building four new homes with garages with access at the southern end of the plot.
The plans were rejected due to its distance from convenience shopping, education, healthcare and employment.
Tendring Parish Council also objected to the plans.
