A MARATHON-conquering amputee from Walton is preparing to push her body’s limits again by competing at the gruelling obstacle racing world championships.
Helen Chapman, 47, lost the lower part of her right leg in 1998 after being badly injured in a car crash.
But the keen sports fan refused to let it hold her back, wearing a prosthetic leg to compete in the Amputee Games and complete the London Marathon.
She has been taking on even tougher challenges - including mud runs and endurance treks - since getting a custom-made running blade last year.
Helen will now take on one of the world's hardest challenges after qualifying for the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships, held in Ohio, USA.
