HOUSEHOLDS across Tendring could be forced to buy their own black bin bags from next year.
Tendring Council’s waste contractor Veolia currently delivers free bags to more than 60,000 homes across the district every year.
But council bosses could now scrap the scheme.
Environment boss Michael Talbot said the cost of providing bin bags has spiralled from £60,000 in 2009 to £140,000 this year. He says people should buy their own.
