A HALLOWEEN candy cart will be set up to help raise money for a disabled youngster.

Esmai Marlborough, of Clacton, was born with a condition affecting her spinal cord, which damaged some of her nerve endings and vital organs.

The youngster is defying the odds by learning to walk, and her family aims to raise thousands of pounds for physiotherapy to build her muscles.

Family friend Becky Chapman is setting up a special candy cart for Halloween in Ashley Road, Clacton, to boost the appeal. Free sweets and prizes will be on offer, with a collection bucket for donations.

People can also donate at gofundme.com/k33hnxjc while an indoor inflatable fun day on October 24 will raise further funds.
