THE stars of Holby City have been making the most of the heatwave by filming on the Sunshine Coast this week.
Actors and film crews have been soaking up the sun as they shot scenes at various locations in the St Osyth area.
One onlooker told the Gazette: “They are down here today doing scenes on the beach.
“It’s packed down here – they are being absolutely mobbed.
We’ve been told they are here until Friday.”
The hit BBC medical drama is a spin-off of Casualty and follows the lives of the surgeons, nurses and staff at Holby General Hospital.
Marjorie Bauer, of the Dairy Bucket cafe in St Osyth, said: “They have been filming down on the seafront and at Seawick.
“There are so many rumours. They hired a caravan and had to take the window out so they could film. Yesterday, they all came running out of the amusements screaming.
“There’s a lot of them started coming down on Sunday and began filming on Monday.
“They don’t even know themselves how long they are going to be here.”
