A MAJOR new TV campaign has been launched to boost Clacton as a holiday destination.

Seaside bosses have clubbed together to fund a new advertising campaign that will air for the first time on television on Wednesday during ITV’s This Morning.

Tendring Council has been working with local businesses Clacton Pier, Clacton Pavilion and Park Resorts on the Love Clacton project, which includes a Twitter and Facebook campaign.

It is hoped the new beaches created by the major £36million sea defence work will play a big part in drawing in extra tourists.
