A MAN in his 60s was treated for smoke inhalation following a kitchen fire in Jaywick.
Fire crews from Clacton and Weeley were called to the home in Meadow Way at 11.26am on Monday.
The crews used breathing apparatus and one hose reel to tackle the blaze.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, but did not require hospital treatment.
The fire was extinguished by 12.30pm.
