FAMILIES of children fighting cancer have been given a £1,000 boost.
Healthcare provider Provide handed over a cheque to Unlock a Life for Lockey, which was set up after Laughlin Whiteley, seven, died after battling leukaemia three times.
The donation will go towards funding days out for families at the charity’s Shack Beach Hut, in Walton, and funding activity boxes for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
Ray Poyser, Lockey’s grandfather, said: “Our heartfelt thanks to Provide for this £1,000 donation.
“We are all volunteers, so there is very little in overheads.”
