Rescue team launched after member of the public mistakes a buoy for a stranded seal
A COASTGUARD rescue team was launched after a member of public reported a distressed seal stuck on a beach.
The Clacton team was sent out to the Holland Haven beach to investigate just before 9am on Tuesday.
They found no sign of a seal and believe the caller mistook a buoy at the beach replenishment site for the reported animal.
