A NEW piece of music gets its world premier when Clacton Concert Orchestra returns to St Osyth Parish Church this Sunday as part of its Magic of Music series.

The concert opens with Mozart's 'Seraglio' overture, followed by Strauss's 'Serenade for Winds'.

Tendring Rotary young musician of the year Zachary Kleanthous closes the first half of the concert singing four of Ralph Vaughan Williams' 'Songs of Travel'.

The second half opens with Suppe's 'Pique Dame' overture, followed by the premier of Alan Gray's 'Clactomania', featuring local singer Diane Thompson.

Principal flautist Julie Harmer closes the afternoon with 'La Calinda' by Delius.

The concert starts at 3pm. Tickets are £7 (accompanied children free) on 01255 223455, from John Stiff estate agent in St Osyth, or at the door. Proceeds go to church funds.
