A MAN arrested on suspicion of defrauding Sport England has been released without charge.
Gary Kirk, 53, vice-chairman of Clacton Cricket Club, was arrested last year over the spending of a Sport England grant for Clacton Sports Club, in Vista Road, Clacton.
He was due to answer police bail last Wednesday, but was told he was being released without charge.
Former club chairman Pierre Oxley, 40, a district and county councillor, who was also arrested in relation to the allegations, is due to answer bail on March 11.
