AN acclaimed Franco-British pianist is the next act to star in the Clacton Arts and Lits Society’s programme.

Emilie Capulet was a child prodigy and made her solo recital debut aged just 14 at the Aix-en-Provence Summer Musical Festival Rising Stars series, and has honed her craft from London to Sydney.

She has also performed in all of the leading concert halls in Europe, USA and Latin America.

Her repertoire includes music from Beethoven, Schumann, Mozart, Soler and Ravel, and is sure to be welcomed by new and old classical fans alike.

In addition to her career as a solo artist, Emilie has built a strong reputation as a lecture recitalist and gives illustrated talks on the relations between music, literature and painting.

Tickets for the show, at the Princes Theatre, Clacton, on Monday, cost £10 on the door from 7.15pm.

Still to come in this season’s programme are further chamber ensembles, a talk on the history of vaccination and a spectacular tribute to the legendary singer Louis Armstrong.
