A DEVELOPER has unveiled proposals for new homes on a greenfield site in Weeley.
Rose Builders, based in Lawford, already has outline permission for 20 homes on land next to Tendring Council’s offices in Thorpe Road.
Now the firm has submitted detailed plans for the site.
Some villagers opposed the outline application when it was submitted a year ago.
They said it would ruin views over farmland and lead to overdevelopment, putting extra pressure on services such as schools and surgeries. The parish council said it had no objections to the outline proposals.
The detailed plans are for 20 three-bedroom and fourbedroom houses.
The developers said the proposals would have no significant effect on nearby listed buildings.
Tendring Council hopes to decide by mid-March.
