FIREFIGHTERS and paramedics were called after a two-car smash in Frating.
The cars collided in Clacton Road just before 11am this morning.
One person was trapped in their crumpled car and fire crews from Weeley and Brightlingsea were called into action, using specialist gear to cut them from the car.
The casualty was released by 11.40am and left in the care of paramedics.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured.
The road was closed off to traffic until the emergency services had checked on those involved and the debris had been cleared.
