A NEW butchers shop has opened at a Frinton shopping centre.
Colchester-based butcher Frank Wright and Sons has moved into The Triangle to fill an empty store.
The Triangle has been without a permanent butchers shop since Chapmans closed down about one year ago.
Triangle Traders Association chairman Richard Allen said: “Frank Wright and Sons has been trading in Colchester for about 80 years.
“We encouraged them to come down and they have had a mobile unit her for the last couple of months to see how it went.
“They decided to go for it and opened up a proper shop last week.
“We’re delighted to have them here and hope they will be very successful.
“It is great to fill an empty unit. We are getting there. We only have a couple of empty shops now which is excellent in these times.”
