COCA-Cola’s “magical” Christmas truck is rolling into Clacton this festive season.

The giant iconic lorry will trundle into Clacton Factory Outlet, in Stephenson Road West, on December 22.

Centre manager Allan Hassell said the visit would be a huge boost for the shopping complex.

“We are over the moon that we have got it coming,” he said.

“Seeing the Coca-Cola advert on television is the start of Christmas in many people’s minds.

“To have it here the week before Christmas will be fantastic.

“It will be magical for young and old customers alike.”

The truck is taking part in a nationwide tour in the run-up to Christmas and visiting 45 towns and cities.

During the stop, people will have the chance to take pictures with the truck as it lights up, as well as enjoying a snowy winter wonderland, a choir singing Christmas hits and a bottle of Coca-Cola.

Marketing director Bobby Brittain said: “Every year, the support for our Holidays Are Coming advert enables us to deliver a truly exceptional experience to people across the country and this year is no exception.

“As we help celebrate the lead-up to Christmas, we’re looking forward to being able to give a little happiness to people around the UK.”

The Coca-Cola Christmas truck will be at the shopping centre from 10am to 6pm.

It first appeared in an advert on TV screens in 1995 and has now become a regular feature in more than 100 countries.
