THE band who played alongside Britain’s answer to Elvis are back on tour.
Billy Fury’s Tornados played live and recorded with him for more than a decade and will appear at Clacton’s Princes Theatre with new frontman Colin Gold.
Fury stormed the charts with tracks such as Last Night Was Made For Love, Wondrous Place and Halfway to Paradise, which spent more than six months in the UK charts.
Guitarist Chris Raynor said: “I had the good fortune to be Billy’s guitarist from 1970 through to his sad premature death in 1983.
“Now I am playing with the other originals in the theatre show with the brilliant Colin Gold.
“We have Billy there as well in footage we shot in 1974 and have so many memories of playing with him.”
The show is on Saturday at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £19.50 (£18.50 concessions) on 01255 686633 or from essex-live.co.uk
