A DAD has paid tribute to his son, who died ten months after he was seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash.

Michael Bradbury, 41, who grew up in Alresford, was left brain damaged after the crash while on his way to work last October.

He was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious head injuries, a broken pelvis, ankle and a punctured lung.

After leaving hospital he spent much of this year in a care home before passing away last month.

Hundreds of pounds have been donated to London’s Air Ambulance in his memory.

Michael, who was married to Claire, 37, went to the Colne School, Brightlingsea. The accident happened between his home in Watford and workplace in Northolt, north west London.

Dad Ian, 61, of Crestlands, Arlesford, said: “He wouldn’t have wanted to live like he was. He wouldn’t consider that a life.

“Something happened to his motorbike, he went out of control and careered straight into a car.

“He was an outgoing person and you could always be sure he would embarrass you with his dancing at a cousin’s wedding. Everybody would have a good laugh and he would enjoy himself. He was a family man."

Mr Bradbury joined the RAF soon after leaving school to work on airfield navigation systems. After nine years he left the force and worked at Northolt air base. His funeral took place in South Ruislip on August 22. Donations in his memory can be made at just giving.com/MichaelSPBradbury
