Campaigner calls for new children's play park in Walton

First published in

A NEW play park is needed for youngsters living in Walton, it is claimed.

Frinton and Walton town councillor Alan Moss has called for a new park on the former putting green site between The Parade and New Pier Street.

He wants cash given to Tendring Council by developers for community use as part of planning agreements for large new developments to be spent on the park.

Mr Moss said there were not enough play areas for children in the west side of the town, despite having more housing.

The town council will approach Tendring Council about the proposal.
