CLACTON will turn into a spectacular fairytale kingdom as the annual carnival comes to town.
The colourful procession begins at 6pm on Saturday and takes the usual route along the seafront from the West Road car park to Victoria Road.
All the sights, sounds and spectacles expected from a carnival will be there, including four marching bands, majorettes, local and national floats and visiting carnival queens from other towns.
This year, money raised will go to the RNLI, which needs to upgrade protective clothing to improve crew safety at sea.
