A REVIEW will be held into the code of conduct which governs Essex county councillors.
The current code, which came into force in October 2012, will be reviewed due to minor issues with its current wording.
The authority’s monitoring officer will write to all councillors asking for any proposed changes.
The code has seven guiding principles for councillors - selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
Since the code came into force, no allegations against councillors have resulted in a formal investigation, but officers have had to advise on its interpretation.
