WALTON’S coastguard team was sent to rescue a man who had become stranded in an area of marshland after being cut off by the tide.
The man went missing walking along the coast from Harwich towards Walton, just before 9pm on Tuesday.
He called for help after getting lost and being left stranded by the incoming tide.
Police officers pinpointed his location and the Walton rescue team was sent to pluck him to safety.
He was found safe and well.
