MOVE over Tiger Woods, stand aside Rory McIlroy...a new golfer is making the headlines by sinking two hole in ones on consecutive visits to the same hole.

Retired university professor David Barber, of The Street in Tendring, had never potted a hole in one in 15 years of golfing.

But the 79 year old physics whizz secured his first in a recent round of the nine-hole Rivenhall Oaks course.

After celebrating the near impossible shot he resigned himself to never repeating the feat, but one month later he did just that.

Back on the Rivenhall course for the first time since his heroics, he was egged on to take another shot at triumph by his companions – and he duly obliged, sinking a second hole in one.
