Beach hut owners in Walton fear council clampdown
WALTON beach hut owners fear they may be forced to tear down their iconic wooden verandas.
Hundreds of huts along the Walton coast have wooden decking areas built outside their seafront getaways.
But Tendring Council recently refused to let new beach hut owners build a veranda.
It is now to investigate other unauthorised decking – and could take action.
