POLICE are searching for a passerby who intervened when a man was assaulted on his doorstep.
The victim, a man in his 50s, reported being struck outside his flat in Meredith Road, Clacton at approximately 11.40am on June 6.
Police believe someone arrived on the scene to ask the suspect to leave the address and would like to speak to them about the matter.
A 28-year-old man of no fixed address has already spoken to the force about the incident.
The victim did not require hospital treatment.
The passerby, or anyone with information, is asked to contact PC Luke Perkins at Clacton police station on 101.
