A FRINTON surgery has been boosted by a patient-organised strawberry tea event which raised hundreds of pounds.

The Caradoc Patients’ Group organised the event on Saturday to raise cash for improvements to the surgery.

They hailed the fundraiser a major success, raising £550 on the day and through ticket sales.

Visitors braved the weather to enjoy refreshments and a raffle at Frinton’s Heritage Centre.

Organiser Shirley Leech said: “It was a great success. I raised more than £500 and that will all go into improving the surgery for patients.”

The group has set its sights on raising for money for the centre and plans to set up further fundraising events.
