FUNDRAISERS are gearing up for a massive event in Clacton to fight cancer this weekend.
The Relay for Life event will see teams of walkers – including a mass of cancer sufferers and survivors - taking part in a sponsored 24-hour relay challenge.
It will take place from 12noon on Saturday to 12noon the following day.
While walkers take in turns to pace the track a fun day event will be held at the site, including bouncy castles, face painting, entertainment and refreshments.
It will take place at Alton Park Junior School across July 5 and 6. Gates open at 11am on Saturday and entry and parking is free.
