1,000 sign up for new green waste service
MORE than 1,000 residents have signed up to Tendring’s new garden waste scheme.
The scheme, which costs £50 a year to join, is designed to boost recycling rates and reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
Since the project was launched six weeks ago, 35 tonnes of garden waste has been collected and will be composted.
