A PLUCKY 12-year-old girl is having her long locks chopped off in aid of charity.
Clacton Coastal Academy pupil Kayleigh Saunders, 12, is having her head shaved for Cancer Research UK and anti-knife crime charity Only Cowards Carry.
She will donate her locks to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair following chemotherapy.
The head shave takes place at Clacton Community Centre, Pathfields Road, on July 17 at 3pm.
Donations can be made at the academy, Tendring Technology College, Burcarts in Old Road, Airwaves in High Street, Cann Hall Primary School or at Rascals on Gorse Lane Industrial Estate.
