A TEENAGER suffered serious injuries after a car crashed into him in a hit and run in Clacton.
The boy, 15, from Clacton, was hit by the Rover 214 in St John’s Road last week.
Police say he suffered serious head and chest injuries and was rushed to Colchester General Hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not life threatening and he is now recovering at home.
It happened just before 6.30pm on Wednesday June 25.
The car did not stop after colliding with the boy.
Soon after the incident police officers arrested a 20 year old man from Clacton on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a traffic collision.
He has been released on bail until Monday July 21 pending further police enquiries.
