HUNDREDS of thousands of pounds are set to be spent on Tendring’s roads.
Burcarts Corner on London Road, Clacton, will get a signal-controlled crossing, along with Frinton Road in Holland-on-Sea.
A zebra crossing will be put on Elm Tree Avenue at Walton on the Naze.
There are also traffic management improvement and passenger transport schemes, with £100,000 towards potential cycling schemes, and £143,000 towards plans to widen the A133 Frating roundabout.
Local highways panel chairman Mick Page said: “A very large number of people will benefit and I am sure they will welcome this investment of almost £800,000.
“Some of them will help to improve road safety for our residents, others will provide transport schemes and there is even cash for an entrance point to Harwich to help attract visitors to our district.”
