JOBS could be axed under new plans to re-organise services led by north Essex health chiefs.
The North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), looks set to bring its communications, management accounting and medicines management services ‘in house’.
These would be based at its Primary Care Centre in Colchester’s Turner Road.
The services were previously sold to the CCG by The Central Eastern Commissioning Support Unit (CECSU).
But that has announced it is to fold at the end of September with more CCGS in Essex and Hertfordshire choosing to provide in house services.
The North East Essex CCG is set to re-organise existing staff to manage the three services and has to limit spending more on new employees.
About 20 employees could be affected.
