AN exercise group for stroke survivors is being launched in Holland-on-Sea next week.
The initiative is a joint venture between Anglian Community Enterprise and Tendring Specialist Stroke Services.
ACE physiotherapist Lois Bloomfield said the exercise group will combine circuit-based exercises specifically designed for people recovering from stroke... with a fun session at the end.
She said: “As well as the benefits of specialist exercises, we hope the group will also bring social benefits, with the chance for people to talk to fellow stroke survivors over tea and biscuits.
“People will need to have an element of mobility.
“They can refer themselves to the group but will need to register in advance so we can assess their specific needs and tailor an exercise programme for them.”
The group will meet on Mondays between 2pm and 3.30pm at the stroke centre at 85 Frinton Road.
