A PILOT project to help deprived and vulnerable residents across Tendring could be set to continue.
The Community Builder Scheme has seen bodies such as the CAB, Salvation Army, Princes Trust food banks and Tendring Council working together.
Projects included the Winter Warmers initiative, which saw 850 people in Clacton and Harwich supplied with warm clothes and bedding, and a food drive where £1,200 of items went to almost 150 local families in need.
Council cabinet spokesman Lynda McWilliams said the year-long pilot scheme may now be continued into the future.
“It has been a fantastic effort all round by a large number of individuals and organisations to benefit our community,” she said.
