CLACTON’S lifeboat crew was called out to rescue four people who became stranded after their jet ski broke down.
The jet ski had been towing an inflatable through the water near Brightlingsea until the tow rope damaged its propeller.
Lifeboat volunteers located the jet ski and stranded thrillseekers before towing them back to Brightlingsea.
It happened just after 6pm on Saturday.
As the crew returned from the callout they were sent to help a yacht which had run aground.
Crew members checked over the yacht to make sure it was not taking on water. The vessel was able to proceed without help.
