Diabetes Week to raise awareness and boost fundraising bid
ESSEX residents are being urged to join in activities during Diabetes Week.
Diabetes UK is inviting people to share their stories of living with the condition on social media, using the hashtag #ican
The charity hopes to raise several hundred thousand pounds through collections at Tesco stores across the county from June 13 to 15.
Diabetes UK eastern regional manager Sharon Roberts said: “Diabetes Week is a fantastic way for us to help raise awareness and promote a better understanding of the condition, which affects 3.8 million people and their families in the UK.”
