A BRAVE fundraiser will leap from a plane with a star from hit TV show Gogglebox after her son was diagnosed with a rare disorder.
Hayley Lloyd pledged to perform a sponsored skydive after son Tommy, 8, was told he has muscular dystrophy.
The condition has no cure and will cause Tommy’s muscles to deteriorate over time, affecting his mobility.
Hayley started fundraising to help raise cash towards research into the disorder.
And her cause was backed by George Gilbey from St Osyth – one of the stars of popular Channel 4 show Gogglebox.
In a bid to raise the profile of the cause, George agreed to a date with Hayley if she managed to raise £2,000 in sponsorship, and pledged to jump from the plane with her if she hit the £3,000 mark.
Hayley has now topped the £3,000 goal. The pair have already been on their date and are now preparing for their fundraising leap of faith.
She said: “Apart from raising lots of money for Muscular Dystrophy I also want to show Tommy that you can conquer your fears and do things you never thought were possible."
